Become a Rangers Ally!
Rangers fight for wildlife and nature on the front-line. Even though they are very iconic and respected in western societies, the reality of the job in many countries is very different and less fortunate. Rangers risk their life to protect endangered wildlife from poaching and forests from illegal logging, often without adequate training or the net of a social security system which cares for them and their families in case of serious injury or death. Fortunately, dedicated individuals and foundations have begun to grasp the extent of the problem and are getting active!

​The Thin Green Line Foundation gives ranger teams proper training and supplies them with desperately needed equipment, such as boots and jackets, mosquito nets and first aid kits. And the foundation cares for ranger´s widows and orphans, to get the children back to school and sustain the families livelihood.

​Please support the Thin Green Line Foundation´s quest to protect those, that risk their life and health everyday to protect nature! We are cycling for rangers, interviewing them and making their story heard, but we need your help and donations to ensure rangers will continrue to fight for protecting nature for us all!

Los agentes agentes medioambientales (Rangers) luchan en primera linea por la naturaleza y la vida silvestre. Aunque en los países occidentales su trabajo es respetado e incluso admirado, la realidad del trabajo en otros países es muy diferente y penoso. En muchos países con escasos recursos los agentes medioambientales arriesgan su vida para proteger la fauna y flora silvestre de amenazas como la caza furtiva y las tala ilegal de arboles. En estos países desempeñan a veces sus tareas sin un adecuado entrenamiento, sin medios apropiados y sin la cobertura de un sistema de seguridad social, que ofrezca cobertura a sus familias en caso de lesiones graves o fallecimiento. Afortunadamente este problema ya ha sido detectado por algunas fundaciones y particulares que se han puesto mano a la obra!

La organización Thin Green Line Foundation da a los agentes medioambientales un adecuado entrenamiento además de proveerlos de medios y equipo como: botas, chaquetas, mosquiteras, botiquines de primeros auxilios... Esta organización también les proporciona una especie de Seguridad Social, que vela por las viudas y huérfanos de los agentes medioambientales fallecidos o incapacitados facilitando la educación de sus hijos y un mínimo sustento de sus familias.

¡Por favor colabora con la colecta que hemos organizado en favor de Thin Green Line para proteger a aquellos que protegen y cuidan de la Naturaleza en los países más desfavorecidos economicamente, pero mas ricos en términos de biodiversidad! Nosotros pedaleamos por estos agentes de la naturaleza, nos entrevistaremos con ellos y os informaremos de sus problemas y necesidades.
